Cinnamon Challenge

The Cinnamon Challenge is commonly tried by idiots.  So my roommates and I tried it...


It goes like this:


1) Get a tablespoon full of cinnamon.
2) Put the cinnamon in your mouth.
3) Swallow the cinnamon.


It doesn't seem like it should be hard but based on thousands of youtube videos I knew it would be terrible.  And it was.  The cinnamon cakes to the inside of your throat and mouth and under your tongue and burns your skin off.  None of us completed the challenge.

Escaping Death

Today Katherin and I fought a dog.

We were on our long run on a dirt road at practice and the beast came sprinting out of its yard and jumped up and put its mouth around my arm.  I bailed into the ditch on the side of the road and it retreated for a little bit.  Then when I tried to get back out it growled and attacked again.  JERK.

It forced me to run in the ditch until we were away from its yard.  Thankfully no blood was drawn.  That would have sucked majorly.


I must also add after reading Katherin's post about this that it attacked her shoulder and there was a lot of screaming that I didn't notice while cowering in the ditch.

We Caught a Deer

Today at practice we caught ourselves a deer.

By caught I might mean we saw some deer on the golf coarse and ran in their general direction until they were out of sight.  We never got closer than about 100 meters away.  These are just minor details.  

We caught one.

Cat Facts

Here is a fun prank:

A lot of people have already seen this but its fun to do to people.  A couple weeks ago when Chris, Kathryn, Tittles, Alissa and I were laying around literally doing this for hours, we discovered its fun to make up our own Cat Facts such as:

- Contrary to popular belief, cats do not have 9 lives.  A controversial 1980's study proved conclusively that cats indeed have only one life.

- Cats can jump up to 7 times the length of their tails.  This far exceeds the jumping capabilities of even the worlds greatest high jumpers!

One victim had a great response to this.  He said, "The human tailbone is like two inches long.  I think I can jump 14 inches".  Touche.  We also appreciated another victims question: "Can you paint a cat?" and something about the legal ramifications for heating a cat in the microwave or oven.

Anyways, we probably hit at least 20 different people so if you got some great Cat Facts from us, you are welcome.

I believe the goal stated in this post has been accomplished and it makes me feel like way too much of an over achiever. In order to return to a more comfortable, under-achieving state, I am creating a new goal for myself that I will surely fall short of.

Here is the goal: two posts, every week, for the next 3 months. We'll see how this goes but I am betting I will be well behind this goal within a couple of weeks and I will feel much better about myself and life in general.
